The special skin strip is ready for immediate application on cross-country skis, ensuring quick and easy maintenance of your skis.
Replacing the mohair strip
Required tools: ski iron / hairdryer / heat gun (in a pinch, an old clothes iron can be used), wax remover or technical gasoline, new mohair strip
Procedure:
- Set the iron temperature to 120-130°C.
- Warm the mohair strip with several strokes of the iron. Alternatively, use a hairdryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive.
- Remove the old mohair strip from the ski.
- Remove adhesive residues with wax remover or technical gasoline and let the groove dry.
- Peel off the protective paper from the new strip, warm the adhesive, and apply the strip from tip to tail in the cleaned area in the correct direction.
- Finally, press the strip with a heated iron to ensure better adhesion.
