The Fenix HL50 is a small, high-performance, and lightweight headlamp that offers a range of unique features. It can be powered by either a 3V lithium CR123A battery or, with the included extension tube, a standard AA battery. Despite its compact size, it offers an impressive light output of up to 365 lumens in BURST mode and a beam distance of up to 77 meters. The light source is a top-notch Cree XM-L2 T6 LED with a neutral white tint, which provides more natural and contrasting color rendering in nature.

Its all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling, and is fully waterproof to the IPX-8 standard, allowing submersion up to 2 meters underwater. The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head mount and use it as a small pocket flashlight. The Fenix HL50 headlamp is an ideal companion for various sports activities, outdoor trips, as well as for home and work use.

All flashlight parameters (light output, runtime, waterproofness, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured according to the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Specifications of the Fenix HL50 Headlamp

  • Uses a powerful Cree XM-L2 T6 LED with a neutral tint and a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

  • Convenient operation with a single electronic switch on the side of the headlamp.
  • The headlamp remembers the last set power mode.

  • Tempered ultra-clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating.
  • Package includes headlamp, head strap, spare o-ring, extension tube for AA batteries.

Usage

Assemble the headlamp according to the pictures in the included English manual, paying special attention to the correct use of the head strap, as incorrect assembly can lead to the strap loosening.

Turn on the headlamp by pressing the button; once on, switch between lighting modes by pressing the button again. Turn off by holding the button for half a second. To activate BURST mode, hold the button for one second (works even when the headlamp is off). When you release the button, the headlamp returns to the previous power mode.

Warnings

  • Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
  • Use only quality batteries to prevent damage to the flashlight, for example, due to leakage from the batteries.
  • Remove the batteries from the flashlight if you will not be using it for an extended period or if the batteries are already depleted. Otherwise, some lower-quality batteries may damage the headlamp.
  • If the headlamp flickers or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
    • The batteries are almost depleted – replace them.
    • The headlamp cap is loose – tighten it.
    • The electrical contacts are dirty – clean them with a sponge soaked in alcohol.
