The rechargeable headlamp Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 features a construction made from lightweight magnesium alloy, high resistance to water and impact, unique dual reflector design, and a light output of up to 1600 lumens. The reflectors create well-focused light beams that illuminate both far and near simultaneously. The main reflector emits cool white light at approximately 6500K (known as daylight white), while the secondary emits warm white light with a hue of about 3000K (the beams cannot be combined). Warm light penetrates fog, rain, and snow better, making it especially useful in poor weather conditions.

The main reflector offers 3 lighting modes with a maximum light output of 1600 lumens, while the second reflector offers a maximum output of 800 lumens with four lighting modes to choose from. The headlamp also features an SOS mode and a whistle integrated into the strap for emergencies. It is powered by a single Li-ion battery type 18650 with a capacity of 3400 mAh, included in the package, and charges via a modern USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. In emergencies, the headlamp can also be powered by two disposable CR123A batteries.

Like other Fenix trail headlamps, the HM65R-T V2.0 is equipped with a wide strap featuring the Sport Fit System with a single wheel for easy strap length adjustment. You can quickly and comfortably tighten the headlamp on your head with one hand. The strap is also perforated and equipped with reflective elements for good passive visibility. Compared to the first generation HM65R-T, the new model features cutouts for easy strap removal, making it easy to use on sports, work, and tactical helmets with the help of Fenix ALG-03 and ALG-04 mounts. Thanks to its lighter weight and construction, the headlamp is particularly interesting for trail running, cycling, and skiing. Using the Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 Headlamp

From the factory, there may be an insulating cover on the battery. Remove it from the battery before first use.

The main reflector is turned on by holding the right button (about 0.5s), the reflector with a warm light hue is turned on by holding the left button (0.5s). The headlamp always turns on in the lowest performance mode. Light functions are switched by briefly pressing the corresponding button. Both reflectors cannot be turned on simultaneously, and you can switch between them by pressing the corresponding button. SOS mode is activated by holding any switch for at least 1.2 seconds.

Battery charge status indication - By briefly pressing any button (the headlamp must be off), the LED battery charge status indicator between the buttons is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is charged to 80-100%, three lit 60-80%, two 40-60%, one 20-40%, and one flashing indicates the battery is charged to less than 20%.

Control buttons can be locked to prevent accidental activation, e.g., during transport in luggage - in the off state, press both buttons and hold for at least 3 seconds, then the headlamp will flash, indicating locking. To unlock, hold both buttons again for three seconds.

Overheat protection: If the headlamp temperature exceeds 60°C, it will automatically reduce performance in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature drops below 60°C, higher performance modes can be switched again.

Low battery warning: when the voltage drops below a certain threshold, it automatically switches to a lower performance mode, and if the battery status indicator starts flashing during lighting, the battery is almost discharged.

Charging: Flip open the USB-C connector cover and connect the included charging cable, plug the other end of the cable into a computer, power bank, or USB adapter for the power grid or car (not included). During charging, the status LEDs show the charging progress. After charging is complete, all four are lit. Charging a fully discharged battery takes about 3 hours. During charging, the headlamp can only be used in the low mode of the main or warm reflector.

Using the rotating wheel to adjust the head strap length: To tighten the strap, turn the wheel counterclockwise. To loosen the strap, turn the wheel clockwise. Further turning the wheel after maximum strap loosening will start tightening the strap again, and the direction of loosening and tightening will reverse.

Warnings

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• Use only high-quality Li-ion 18650 batteries, do not attempt to charge disposable CR123A batteries in the headlamp.
• If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher performance modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is discharged – recharge it or replace it.
  • The contacts inside the headlamp are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
