Which ferrules do I need for my poles?

In the selection of ferrules for roller ski poles, you will usually find a note indicating that the ferrules are intended for poles with a specific diameter, e.g., 10 mm. This refers to the inner diameter of the ferrule hole, which is to be slid onto the end of the ski pole tube.

We recommend measuring this diameter on the pole tube approximately 3 cm from the end of the pole or where the existing basket ends.

How to replace ferrules

To replace the ferrules, you will need:

• a source of dry heat - ideally a heat gun, hairdryer, or similar
• thermoplastic glue - special glue designed for bonding handles, baskets, and ferrules or a hot glue stick (used in a hot glue gun)

Replacement procedure

1. gently heat the original ferrule or winter basket until the glue loosens
2. carefully remove the basket (be careful not to burn yourself)
3. heat the glue and apply it to the end of the pole tube (if there is enough on the pole, additional application is not necessary)
4. heat the end of the tube with glue and slide on the ferrule. Simultaneously adjust the direction of the ferrule
5. let the glue cool down
