EXEL HOT MELT GLUE, Adhesive for Handles and Baskets
Special adhesive for pole tips, baskets, and handles. The adhesive comes in the form of an aluminum stick measuring 55 x 20 x 5mm.
Heat the adhesive with hot air (e.g., a heat gun) and apply it to the joint. Allow it to cool down. The adhesive features a low melting point, preventing unnecessary overheating of handles, tips, and baskets during replacement. Recommended for DIY replacement of pole tips and handles.
How to Replace Baskets / Tips on Cross-Country Poles
Prepare the following:
- adhesive for handles and baskets
- a heat gun or hairdryer, or another source of dry heat
Procedure:
- Carefully heat the tip/basket on the pole, then remove it from the pole tube.
- Carefully apply the adhesive to the end of the pole tube and heat the end so that the adhesive becomes liquid.
- Attach the basket or tip. Don't forget to adjust the direction by turning.
- Allow the pole to cool down.
