What Tips Do I Need for My Poles?

In our selection of tips for roller ski poles, you will usually find a note indicating that the tips are designed for poles with a specific diameter, e.g., 10 mm. This refers to the internal diameter of the tip hole, which fits onto the end of the ski pole shaft.

We recommend measuring this diameter on the pole shaft approximately 3 cm from the end of the pole or where the existing basket ends.

How to Replace the Tips

To replace the tips, you will need:

• a source of dry heat - ideally a heat gun, hairdryer, or similar
• thermoplastic glue - special glue for attaching handles, baskets, and tips, or a hot glue stick (used in a hot glue gun)

Replacement Procedure

1. gently heat the original tip or winter basket until the glue loosens
2. carefully remove the basket (be careful not to burn yourself)
3. heat the glue and apply it to the end of the pole shaft (if there is enough glue on the pole, additional application is not necessary)
4. heat the end of the shaft with glue and slide on the tip. Adjust the direction of the tip as needed
5. let the glue cool down
