Used Technologies
LIWOOD
Light and quality skis for everyone: the ski core of lightweight wood combined with more durable wood on the sides, all finally wrapped in a fiberglass shell. The skis remain light and improve durability and resistance. Wood is the most used material in skis. For years, we have been searching for lightweight wood, but we also want it to be durable and strong. It is against nature. The lightweight wood core must be supported by processing technology and combined with other woods and especially with composite materials to improve its strength. The wooden composite is finally wrapped to achieve the desired torsional stiffness and durability.
SCARABEO
The ski profile highlights two "side small legs" that strengthen and create a more durable ski edge and make the ski more resistant to torsion. This is also very useful because it allows for quality grinding of the base surface.
RACING FLEX
Each ski is measured and checked using a digital ski stiffness measuring device. Based on this measurement, each ski receives its "identification card". Skating skis have flexibility marked HG6 and are very easy to handle, stable, and fast in all snow conditions. As for classic skis, SKI TRAB produces a short profile marked PR4, which performs very well on compact snow, while the profile marked PR8 is suitable for fresh, wet, or damp snow where more wax is needed.
GLIDE TECH
Easy glide is as important for SKI TRAB as it is for cross-country skiers. A manufacturing process was developed in the factory in Bormio, where every detail is finished with this goal. The final assembly phase is carried out at a low temperature to preserve the material properties as much as possible, so the final manufacturing operations perfectly preserve the original quality of the base. To meet various needs, two different types of skis are available: Cold and Plus, with profile, sidecut, base, and final surface finish for cold or warmer snow conditions.
