REX 9092 Transformer Block, Hot Wax Additive, 40 g

REX 9092 Transformer Block is a special additive for hot wax designed for the first hot waxing of a new bicycle chain without the time-consuming degreasing process. It is intended to be used as part of the Rex hot waxing system.

Transformer Block uses advanced chemistry to transform the factory grease of a new chain into a more solid, wax-compatible structure. This prevents the factory grease from acting as an oily barrier between the chain and the wax, allowing the wax to reach the critical parts of the chain – pins, rollers and inner plates.

The product is designed for use with Rex hot wax and the Rex Pro Wax Heater, which is scheduled for release in summer 2026. Always read the instructions before use.

How to use:

• Use one Rex Transformer Block for one new factory-greased chain.
• Place Rex hot wax, one Transformer Block and one new chain into the wax pot.
• Heat the wax to 125 °C using Boost mode.
• Agitate the chain thoroughly in the wax and leave it submerged for approximately 20 minutes.
• Then turn Boost off and allow the wax to cool to 75 °C.
• Agitate the chain once more, lift it out, allow excess wax to drip off, and once cooled, flex the links by hand.

Important notice:

Transformer Block is intended only for factory-new bicycle chains with original factory grease. It is not a cleaner for used, dirty or previously lubricated chains. Used chains must be thoroughly cleaned and completely dried before hot waxing.
