- Historically very popular klister among racers.
- Can also be used as a base klister.
Instructions - Applying Klisters on Skis
Klisters are grip waxes specifically designed for wet and icy conditions.
- Apply masking tape at the start and end of the grip zone.
- Roughen the base in the grip zone with sandpaper (grit 80-120).
- Wipe off excess dirt.
- For greater resistance to wear, use Base Klister #290 (or Blue Klister #200).
- Extrude strips of klister onto the ski base.
- Heat the klister with a heat gun.
- Spread the klister on the base using synthetic cork.
- Extrude strips of another klister (klister for specific snow conditions) onto the base.
- Heat the klister with a heat gun.
- Spread/smooth the klister with your thumb.
- Remove the masking tape.
- Spread the klister at the ends of the grip zone (edges created after removing the tape) with your thumb.
