The upgraded version of the successful Silva Trail Runner Free headlamp, awarded the ISPO AWARD 2020. Featuring a compact, seamless design without unnecessary cables, with power running inside the elastic headband, this is the unique Silva Free technology. Compared to the previous version, the Trail Runner 2 offers higher light output, more efficient reflector cooling, and more comfortable padding at the front under the reflector.

The power source is located at the back of the elastic headband, or it can be placed in a backpack, waist pack, or running vest using the extension cable, which is appreciated during longer activities when the headband with the reflector weighing only 58g won't restrict you. Trail Runner Free 2 offers a light output of 450 lumens with 3xAAA cells, Trail Runner Free 2 Hybrid 500 lumens with a rechargeable Hybrid battery 4.6Wh - 38007, and Trail Runner Free 2 Ultra shines at 550 lumens with the most powerful rechargeable battery 14.8Wh - 38008. The battery box, which includes a red safety light/blinker, uses 3xAAA cells or a rechargeable Hybrid battery 4.6Wh as the power source, which is included in the Trail Runner Free 2 Hybrid package. The most powerful 14.8Wh battery is supplied in a neoprene pouch with a Velcro strap, which can be attached to the back of the headband or placed in a backpack using the extension cable. This battery has 4 LEDs indicating the charge status and is included in the Trail Runner Free 2 Ultra package. For basic battery status information without removing the headlamp from your head, simply turn it off briefly, and a green LED will light up for about 5 seconds = battery in good condition, or a red LED = battery nearing depletion.

* Technical parameters of Silva headlamps are measured according to the ANSI FL1 standard. The battery life is stated as the time until the light output drops to 10% of the initial value measured 30 seconds after turning on, not the time of complete discharge, after which the headlamp switches to reserve mode. Battery life is affected by ambient temperature and type of activity, e.g., during running or cycling, the reflector is better cooled, while sub-zero temperatures reduce battery capacity. The range is stated as the distance at which the illumination intensity drops to 0.25 lux, approximately the intensity of light created by the full moon on a clear sky.
