SILVA Free 1200 XS, 1200lm, headlamp

The modular Silva Free lighting system allows you to freely combine individual components. Free features a wireless design with energy conducted inside the headband, LED reflectors with outputs of 1200, 2000, and 3000 lumens, and 4 rechargeable battery options: 14.4Wh XS, 24.1Wh S, 36Wh M, and 72Wh L.

The Silva Intelligent Light technology ensures even light distribution both far and wide.

More powerful reflectors of 2000 and 3000 lumens, thanks to Silva Flow Light technology, allow you to adjust the shape of the light beam by tilting the reflector.

An integrated safety red light/blinker is located at the back of the headband.

Separately supplied Free Helmet Mount 38230 allows attachment to a helmet, the Free GoPro Mount 38290 set allows you to attach the reflector to GoPro camera mounts, and with the Free Bar Mount 38229 set, you can attach the reflector with the battery to a bike. Free headlamps are designed for various activities, allowing you to choose the reflector's output and battery capacity.

Using a 130cm long extension cable, more powerful batteries with higher weight can be placed outside the headband, e.g., in a backpack, running vest, or waist pack. In winter, use the cable to keep the battery warm under clothing, protecting it from freezing and extending its lifespan. The 130cm long extension cable is included with Free 1200M, 2000M, 2000L, 3000M, 3000L headlamps and can be purchased separately under the code 38317.

The light output is regulated by a built-in temperature sensor according to the reflector's surface temperature. If cooling is insufficient, e.g., during static activities, indoors, or at high temperatures, the light output will automatically decrease until a safe surface temperature is reached on the reflector's body. Once the battery capacity drops to 10% of its initial value, the reflector will blink during lighting and switch to reserve mode, which has an output of 80lm and provides approximately 1 hour of operation.

Free 1200, 2000, and 3000 headlamps, including accessories, withstand splashing water from all angles - water resistance IPX5.

Silva received the ISPO Award 2023 for technological innovation for the modular Free lighting system. The Free 1200 XS model was chosen as the product of the year - UK Outdoor Industry Award 2023.

* Technical parameters of Silva headlamps are measured according to ANSI FL1 standard. Battery life is given as the time until the light output drops to 10% of the initial value measured 30 seconds after switching on, not the time of complete discharge, after which the headlamp switches to reserve mode. Battery life is affected by ambient temperature and type of activity, e.g., during running or cycling, the reflector is better cooled, while minus temperatures reduce battery capacity. Beam distance is given as the distance at which the illumination intensity drops to 0.25 lux. This is approximately the illumination intensity created by the full moon on a clear night.
