KÄSTLE XP20 CLASSIC SKIN MEDIUM, 196cm, for 54 - 70kg
Code: NXP20CSM19_196Product detailed description
KÄSTLE XP20 CLASSIC SKIN MEDIUM, 196cm, for skiers 54 - 70 kg
The narrow XP20s are very lightweight and offer excellent power transfer. The honeycomb core reinforced with carbon and Hollowtech 2.0 creates perfectly balanced skis. The XP20 excels at high speeds and during long-distance skiing.
They are stiffer, offer precise control, and excellent glide, making them particularly suitable for more energetic cross-country skiers.
The version with 100% mohair skins on the kick zone ensures good grip even on hard-packed snow. Thanks to the skins, the skis glide more smoothly and quietly compared to commonly used scales.
With the XP20 CLASSIC SKIN skis, there's no need to master the alchemy of waxing; the skins are an ideal choice for all conditions, and handling them is very easy.
The skis are equipped with an NIS plate, on which you can mount NNN bindings (manufacturer Rottefella) or screw on SNS bindings (manufacturer Salomon).

KASTLE XP20 SKIN Ski Technology
HOLLOWTECH
At the top of the world, one thing is needed above all: top equipment. At the beginning of this millennium, we revolutionized alpine skiing with HOLLOWTECH technology!
We are similarly thorough in the field of Nordic sports. By removing unnecessary layers at the tip of the ski, the tips and the skis overall are lighter.
This gives them significantly better balance and reduces rotation when the ski moves forward, helping athletes save energy and reach their goals faster.
CONSTRUCTION
All cross-country ski models have a CAP construction with carbon reinforcement. Its surface film wraps around the sides of the ski, perfectly protecting the core.
All Kästle classic skiing skis are ideally adapted to their area of use.
CORE
Nowhere is it harder to survive than in nature – the ingenuity of the solutions applied corresponds to this. Bees, with their hexagonal honeycombs, have developed an ideally stable construction that allows for maximum strength using minimal material.
For this reason, the core of Kästle skis is made according to the principle of honeycombs from natural fibers, reducing weight to a minimum and ensuring stability. The core also retains elasticity and provides an explosive rebound effect underfoot!
UL WOOD
The honeycomb structure is embedded in a torsion box made of ultra-light paulownia wood, which we call UL WOOD. This guarantees optimal torsional stiffness and flex with minimal weight.
VARIANTS
Professional cross-country skiing is an extreme sport – for athletes and for the material! And with different temperatures and snow conditions, variables are added that cannot be controlled. For optimal performance in the most diverse conditions, we have developed four variants of the ski surface.
SKIN
Non-wax skis without the need for applying grip wax, which give the classic style enormous dynamism. Mohair in the binding area ensures optimal grip even on hard, slippery snow, while the skis have better and quieter glide than any scaled skis. An ideal choice for easy handling for all snow conditions with air temperatures between +10° C and -30° C.
BASE
We make no compromises and rely on high-quality graphite sintered bases for all models. The result is excellent glide properties and maximum durability. The type of bases is optimally adapted to the area of use and conditions.
WC RACE PLUS
A high-performance base used in the World Cup with excellent wax absorption and maximum glide properties. Usable in diverse snow conditions.
GRINDING
Besides the base, proper grinding, which must match the prevailing conditions, has an immense impact on glide properties. The basic rule is: the warmer it is, the coarser the structure.
Grinding is done at an angle slightly above 0 °C from the base. Thanks to constant cooling during the grinding process, fine structures can be gently and precisely incorporated into the high-performance base.
UM1
Universal racing structure for variable snow conditions and wet, fine-grained snow.
HARDNESS
For the production of our new cross-country skis, we use a specially made press. With 40 setting options, it guarantees unprecedented optimal alignment of camber and hardness.
Besides the ideal length, the choice of ski hardness is crucial for every athlete.
For the XP20 Classic Skin model, we offer MEDIUM and HARD levels.
