KÄSTLE Universal Skin Long, Mohair Skin
The KÄSTLE Universal Skin Long is designed for easy replacement of the original skin on KÄSTLE XP30 CLASSIC SKIN skis and other adult Kästle models where a racing version of the mohair skin is not required.
- Material: Mohair mix (combination of synthetic and natural mohair) ensures excellent glide and grip.
- Skin Length: 400 mm, ideal for most skis.
- Skin Width: 35 mm, optimized for optimal coverage.
This special mohair skin is ready for immediate application to your cross-country skis.
Replacing the Mohair Skin
Required Tools: ski iron, hairdryer, heat gun, wax remover or technical gasoline, new mohair skin.
Procedure:
- Set the iron temperature to 120-130°C.
- Warm the mohair skin with several strokes of the iron. Alternatively, use a hairdryer or heat gun.
- Remove the old mohair skin from the ski.
- Remove glue residues with wax remover or technical gasoline and let the groove dry.
- Peel off the protective paper from the new skin, warm the glue, and stick the skin into the cleaned area from tip to tail.
- Press the mohair skin with the heated iron to better fit into the groove.
