KÄSTLE Race Skin Long, Mohair Strip
The KÄSTLE Race Skin Long is designed for replacing the original strip on skis like KÄSTLE RX10 CLASSIC SKIN and other Kästle skin skis. This strip ensures excellent grip and glide thanks to its 100% natural mohair composition.
- Material: 100% natural mohair
- Strip Length: 400 mm
- Strip Width: 35 mm
- Color based on availability: beige or black
This special skin strip is ready for immediate application on your cross-country skis, guaranteeing a quick and easy replacement.
Replacing the Mohair Strip
Required Tools: ski iron, hairdryer, heat gun, wax remover or technical gasoline, new mohair strip.
Procedure:
- Set the iron temperature to 120-130°C.
- Warm the mohair strip with several strokes of the iron. Alternatively, use a hairdryer or heat gun.
- Remove the mohair strip from the ski.
- Remove glue residues with wax remover or technical gasoline and let the groove dry.
- Peel off the protective paper from the new strip, warm the glue, and stick the strip into the cleaned area from tip to tail.
- Finally, press the strip with a heated iron for better adhesion.
