Code: HM61RProduct detailed description
```htmlFENIX HM61R Amber, 1200lm / 145m, Rechargeable Headlamp
Fenix HM61R Amber is a high-performance rechargeable headlamp offering up to 1200 lumens (ANSI) of neutral white light (4500 K) with a beam distance of up to 145 meters, and is also equipped with red LEDs. It is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion 18650 battery with a capacity of 3500 mAh, which can be recharged directly in the flashlight via a magnetic connector. In emergencies, it can also be powered by two disposable CR123A lithium batteries. The battery also features a built-in micro-USB connector, allowing it to be easily charged outside the headlamp without a magnetic cable. The control button includes an indicator LED, so you'll always know when to recharge the battery. The flashlight's end is magnetic, allowing it to be easily attached to any iron surface. The HM61R offers eight different lighting modes, enabling a choice between high performance and long runtime (up to 400 hours). The flashlight is powered by digitally regulated constant current to ensure consistent light output even as battery voltage decreases (during gradual discharge).
The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling, and is fully waterproof according to IP68 standard, up to 2 meters underwater. The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head mount and use it as a pocket or work flashlight. Additionally, the headlamp is equipped with a removable steel clip, making it easy to attach to a pocket or strap. The multifunctional Fenix HM61R flashlight is an ideal companion for various sports activities, nature trips, household use, and work.
The HM61R Amber version is specially adapted for the Czech and Slovak markets, differing from the standard version in these three points:
- The battery is additionally equipped with its own micro-USB connector.
- The diode has a neutral light tint instead of cold.
- The control is modified so that the headlamp can be turned on directly into white or red light (similar to the HM51R). The standard HM61R for other markets cannot be turned on directly into red light.
All flashlight parameters (light output, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Usage
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cover on the battery inside the flashlight. Before first use, remove it from the battery.
- The headlamp is turned on in the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- The headlamp is turned on in the last used red light mode by double-clicking the button quickly.
- The headlamp is turned off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
If the headlamp is on, short button presses can cycle through power modes in the order of 5 - 50 - 150 - 400 - 1200 lumens (when turned on in white light) or red 1 lumen - red 5 lumens - red flashing (when turned on in red light). The flashlight has memory and will always turn on in the last set mode (applies to both white and red light).
Battery charge status indication: After a short button press (the headlamp must be off), the LED indicator in the button is activated. If the indicator LED lights green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it lights red, it is charged to 25-50%. Red flashing indicates that less than 25% of the battery capacity remains. The indication works correctly only with rechargeable 18650 batteries.
Overheating protection: In turbo mode (1200 lumens), after one minute, the output will gradually decrease to 900 lumens. If the temperature exceeds 65°C, the headlamp will gradually reduce the output until the temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature drops below 65°C, the output will gradually increase again.
Charging: Connect the charging cable to a USB port on a computer, a USB power adapter, or a car charger. Attach the cable to the charging pad on the headlamp; it will attach itself using magnets. During charging, the indicator on the cable lights red, and when charging is complete, it lights green. The headlamp can be used in all modes during charging, but the charging time will be extended accordingly. Charging a fully depleted Fenix ARB-L18-3500U battery takes approximately 4 hours.
Low battery warning: If the battery voltage drops below 3V under load, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the headlamp is already in the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will light red, but the headlamp will continue to light until the battery is completely depleted. Note: the low battery warning is calibrated only for the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Locking the headlamp against accidental activation: Loosen the headlamp's battery cap by a quarter turn, interrupting the electrical contact, and the headlamp cannot be turned on.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed part in the head of the flashlight yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- If using a disposable CR123A battery, do not attempt to charge it in the flashlight.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. Following these rules will ensure the flashlight is properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight blinks, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is nearly depleted – recharge or replace it.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The back part of the flashlight is loose – tighten it.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the flashlight, two-year warranty on the battery.
