SWIX is a renowned Norwegian brand that has led the world of ski and snowboard waxes, service tools, poles, gloves, and apparel for cross-country and alpine skiing since 1946.
The story of Swix dates back to 1943, when Martin Matsbo collaborated with AB Astra chemists on innovative wax development. By 1946, Swix launched its first color-coded grip waxes and klisters, and at the 1948 Winter Olympics, all ski gold medalists used Swix waxes.
Since 1986, Swix has been based in Lillehammer, a city famous from the 1994 Winter Olympics. Today, Swix is the largest producer of wax and ski maintenance gear for both elite and recreational skiers. The range includes ski brushes, scrapers, irons, waxing tables and profiles, and spare parts for poles.
Swix continues to innovate and adapt to modern demands. In compliance with FIS regulations, it offers top-quality fluoro-free PS (Performance Speed), HS (High Speed) and TS (Top Speed) waxes, as well as fluoro-free racing powders for maximum glide and minimal environmental impact.
